On a rare night that sees her husband at home, she awakens to hear him talking to another woman on the phone. He calls out the name "Gabriella" in his sleep, then lies when she she questions him, but she finds out who Gabriella is and fears her husband will leave her. Then she starts having visions who accuse and terrorize her. The pinnacle of the visions comes at the end where it is implied she realizes she would be better off without her husband and is ultimately emotionally emancipated.

She finds out that this sum is equivalent to just 35 shillings but readily accepts this challenge. She also informs him that her late father had also imposed a condition that she must wed a male who will turn £500 into £15000 within the same period. Epifania then finds employment with an Italian firm, ends up re-organizing, and turning up the firm's profits. At the end of 90 days, she goes to meet Kabir and discovers that he has not only given all the money away but also has no interest whatsoever in marrying her.

Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers), owner of a transportation service for moving race horses from track to track, prepares to take a number of thoroughbreds to the Pan American fair races at Monterey. Doris and her trainer, Dave Norris ('Douglas FOwley'), accompany Roy and his outfit to the border at Caliente, where they are approached by Rosina (Charlita), a young gypsy fortune teller who begs Roy not to continue the trip. After crossing the border, Roy and his men are attacked by masked bandits, the horses are stolen and the stable boy is murdered. Accompanied by Doris and his sidekick Pinky (Pinky Lee) and the a Mexican Commandante, Roy goes to the gypsy camp to find Rosita. She is not there but Roy spots the stolen thoroughbreds hidden among a herd of wild horses near the camp. He also finds the dead body of a horse that appears to be "Dancing Girl." The loss of the horse means ruin for Doris, who is unaware that Norris and his crooked partner, "Studsy" Denning (Frank Richards), killed a mare resembling her horse and left it where Roy could find it.

One night on a lonely highway, a man in a speeding car tosses a satchel of money meant for somebody else into Jane and Alan Palmer's convertible as they are heading down a mountain road to a party. When they open the satchel and see what's inside, Alan wants to turn it over to the police, but Jane, with a life of luxury now within reach, persuades him to hang onto it "for a while." Two city kids gain a new perspective on life when they're lost in rugged Northwestern Canada in this adventure for the family. Sam (Zachery Ty Bryan) and Bonnie (Kirsten Dunst) are two teenage siblings who don't always get along, a situation made more uncomfortable by their mother's recent remarriage. While Sam and Bonnie are flying home on a small chartered place, their flight crashes in the wilderness of British Columbia. Sam and Bonnie are the only survivors of the wreck and must fend for themselves until they are discovered by Khonanesta (August Schellenberg), a Native North American who lives in the woods with his only companion, a huge Kodiak bear he's named "Grandfather." Khonanesta teaches Sam and Bonnie how to live off the land, and as they learn how to survive in the wild, they become closer, more confident, and better adjusted; they also help Khonanesta foil a group of game poachers who are illegally hunting bear in the wilderness. Bonnie and Sam's mother and stepfather finally find their missing children, but when they do, they mistakenly implicate Khonanesta in the illegal activities of the game poachers.

The BBC gives over a whole evening to an 'investigation into the supernatural'. Four respected presenters and a camera crew attempt to discover the truth behind 'The most haunted house in Britain', expecting a light-hearted scare or two and probably the uncovering of a hoax.
