In the approach to Christmas, Brooke Miller receives two pieces of bad news. A tailor at a high end New York City boutique, she who aspires to be a designer in her own right, she is told by her boss Nina that her designs are not cutting edge enough in Brooke's style leaning more toward the classics. And Ethan Reinhart, her architect boyfriend of six months, not only tells her at the last minute that he will not be accompanying her for Christmas to her hometown of Whispering Pines, PA to meet her parents, Walter and Donna Miller, as was the plan, but that he is breaking up with her in seeing that plan as moving far too fast for a relationship he does not truly foresee lasting the long term. While being heartbroken, Brooke may come to the realization that Ethan is correct in that she was more enamored with the thought of him than with he himself, especially as she is tired of being the only single at their family gatherings, not only with her parents still happy after all these years, but with her older sister Ashley having been with her husband Glen for fifteen years with an adolescent daughter, Tessa, of their own. At her friends Megan and Larry's Christmas party, Larry a talent agent, Brooke meets Joel Parker, one of Larry's clients who is up for what could be his breakthrough movie role in a small town, Capraesque story. As Joel is a big city boy through and through, Larry is able to convince both Brooke and Joel for Joel to accompany her to Whispering Pines for Christmas pretending to be Ethan, so that Brooke will still have her holiday date, and Joel can immerse himself in an acting role akin to that in the movie. The problems arising are associated to Joel's ability to carry off the ruse, especially as he is nothing like what Brooke has told her family about Ethan, and in his exuberance in that immersion into the role. But the bigger problem may be that the two of them start to fall for each other, something long term which is hindered by this ruse, and which may be further complicated if her family discovers the truth before Brooke and Joel are prepared to tell them.

The movie highlights ten years in the life of a literature teacher named Laurence who transforms himself into a woman after years of concealing his feelings. Her tremulous relationship with her family is further complicated by revealing herself to them while she struggles to find comfort with her significant other Frédérique. Though others may not initially accept or understand Laurence in her true form, those who knew her before her transformation still know her as Laurence, anyways.

A star, Miyuki Goto plays Oiwa, the protagonist in a new play based on the ghost story Yotsuya Kaidan. She pulls some strings to get her lover, Kosuke Hasegawa cast in the play, even though he's a relatively unknown actor. Other performers Rio Asahina and Jun Suzuki lust after Miyuki. Off stage the cast's possessive love and obsessions exist as reality. Trapped between the play and reality, the cast's feelings for each other are amplified. When it becomes clear that love isn't meant to be both on and off stage, love turns into a grudge and crosses the blurred line between reality and fantasy.

RELIC tells the story of  Edna (Robyn Nevin), an elderly and widowed matriarch who goes missing, and her daughter Kay (Emily Mortimer) and granddaughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) who must travel to their remote family home to find her. Soon after her return, they start to discover a sinister presence haunting the house and taking control of Edna.

Having been away for four months, Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell) walks into the offices of the New York City-based The Morning Post, where she is a star reporter, to tell her boss, editor Walter Burns (Cary Grant), that she is quitting. The reason for her absence was among other things to get a Reno divorce, from, of all people, Walter, who admits he was a bad husband. Hildy divorced Walter largely because she wanted more of a home life, whereas Walter saw her more as a driven hard-boiled reporter than subservient homemaker. Hildy has also come to tell Walter that she is taking the afternoon train to Albany, where she will be getting married tomorrow to staid straight-laced insurance agent, Bruce Baldwin (Ralph Bellamy), with whose mother (Alma Kruger) they will live, at least for the first year. Walter doesn't want to lose Hildy, either as a reporter or a wife, and if he does, doesn't believe Bruce is worthy of her. Walter does whatever he can at least to delay Hildy and Bruce's trip, long enough to persuade Hildy to stay for good. His plan includes doing whatever he can to place Bruce in a bad light, while dangling a big story under her nose, namely covering what the newspaper believes is the unfair imminent execution of convicted cop killer, Earl Williams (John Qualen). Hildy doesn't trust Walter in dealing with her and Bruce in an above-board manner, but the lure of what potentially may become the biggest story in years, which includes true love, a bumbling sheriff (Gene Lockhart) and a corrupt mayor (Clarence Kolb), the latter's actions largely in light of an upcoming election, may prove to be too much for Hildy to resist, especially if it ends up being an exclusive. Regardless of the story outcome, Hildy will have to decide if the thrill of the chase was worth the anguish on her personal life.

This is the sequel to Apocalypse: Caught in the Eye of the Storm (1998). In this movie Thorold Stone is still looking for his family. Thorold and his partner go to investigate the location of the detonator of one of these acts. They find a group of Christians holding a service. He arrests them and one of them hands him a disk from O.N.E.--One Nation Earth. He finds men in the building who aren't Christians. They chase them around and one of them is killed. Then he meets with Mr. Parker who works for Franco Macalousso. Parker shoots them both but Thorold doesn't die. He is then framed for the shooting of his partner and he goes to a computer programmer with the disk. Virtual Reality is used to bring the Day of Wonders to fruition. There is something odd about the CD that the woman gave Thorold because the programmer can't get access to it and they take it to the Christians' headquarters. Further things develop and throughout the film there are repeated attempts to convert Thorold to Christianity. It isn't until he meets up with the Anti-Christ that he makes up his mind. When they find out what the Day of Wonders is, they try to destroy the program that will run it.
