This mysterious Priest/Hunter leaves a vicious trail of dispatched vampires in his wake all marked with his signature; a playing card inscribed with the ominous palindrome 'LIVE EVIL'. Benedikt (Mark Hengst), is the leader of the coven, whose sole focus is to protect his small family. His mate Sidney is sexy but ravenous and due to starvation, is losing control and in danger of 'going feral'. Yale, the newest turned, is the most inexperienced. She's bonded with the acerbic Bakster, an Irish silent-movie star, who became a vampire to stay young forever only to have his career ruined when sound came in. His bitterness and Yale's young enthusiasm often clash, putting more pressure on Benedikt who's trying to hold them all together while keeping them fed. Constantly on the prowl for clean food, the quartet find themselves the run from the Samurai Priest. This shadowy hunter closes in as they travel to Los Angeles to find a 'Blood Pusher', Macks (Ken Foree), a tattooed neutral party who's made his living dealing medical grade pure blood to vampire clients. It's the Vampires fighting for their family vs. the Samurai Priest Vampire Hunter with nothing to lose, in a frenzied take no prisoners cat and mouse game. Shot on gritty Super 16mm film and scanned to 2k with hardcore stunts, unique vampire lore, nudity, and wild vampire killings, the term 'grindhouse' seems more than apropos. Mix Near Dark with Creepshow a sprinkle of Death Proof then douse it with ton of attitude and light a match, and you will have Tim Thomerson in "Samurai Priest Vampire Hunter."

A drama that follows the travails of the Pineda family in the Filipino city of Angeles. Bigamy, unwanted pregnancy, possible incest and bothersome skin irritations are all part of their daily challenges, but the real "star" of the show is an enormous, dilapidated movie theater that doubles as family business and living space. At one time a prestige establishment, the theater now runs porn double bills and serves as a meeting ground for hustlers of every conceivable persuasion. The film captures the sordid, fetid atmosphere, interweaving various family subplots with the comings and goings of customers, thieves and even a runaway goat while enveloping the viewer in a maelstrom of sound, noise and continuous motion.

Eleven separate vignettes are presented. In each, celebrities, playing semi-fictionalized versions of themselves (with the exception of the characters of various wait staff, and one actor playing a lookalike cousin of herself), meet in a food service establishment with coffee/tea and cigarettes involved. Beyond the topic of discussion that brought them together, they often talk directly about coffee and cigarettes, more often that coffee and cigarettes, and by association caffeine and nicotine, are not healthy, especially if they are the only things constituting lunch. Other recurring themes include the Lee family, cousinhood, celebrity worship, the connection between the medical and musical careers, and Nikola Tesla's belief that the Earth is a conductor of acoustic resonance. In all cases, the coming together for coffee/tea and smokes acts as a bridge to overcome disagreements, and/or makes uncomfortable situations less uncomfortable.
