When the American clipper ship "The Queen" is attacked by pirates off the Hebrides in 1830, Mate Kirk Hamilton is injured and must be put ashore at Queensland Colony, Australia, for treatment and recuperation. There, he meets and falls in love with Elaine Jeffries, daughter of the magistrate and all-but-fiancée to rancher Martin Shannon. She also finds herself attracted to Kirk, and a rivalry develops between the two men. Meantime the pirates, led by Captain Hackett, decide to raid the colony and, in the process kidnap Elaine and her friend. Nancy. Kirk, and Shannon lead the pursuit, having not only the romantic triangle to resolve, but the pirates to overcome and, along the way, being stranded on a volcanic island inhabited by dinosaurs.

An earthquake in rural Australia causes a dangerous leak at WALDO, a nuclear waste storage facility. Heinrich Schmidt, an engineer badly hurt in the accident, knows that the leak will poison the groundwater for hundreds of miles around, and wants to warn the public. His boss, however, is only interested in protecting himself, and believes the accident should be covered up, even at the expense of thousands of lives. Heinrich escapes from the facility, but is too badly injured to get very far. Lost in the woods and suffering from amnesia, he is rescued by Larry, an auto mechanic on vacation with his wife, Carmel. As Heinrich tries to piece together his memories of what happened, his boss' thugs are quickly closing in on the trio.

Stuntwoman Laurie Collins invites her sister Bonnie to visit on location in a small town. Bonnie is accosted by a local boy whose father is influential in the community, and ends up in prison when she defends herself, victim of local political corruption. Laurie hears bad things about her sister's treatment in the hoosegow, and gets herself jailed in order to even the score with Kay the queen bee prisoner and her loyal followers.

This is the story of a 36 year old man, Jim Fuller, released from prison after serving a three year term for intent to commit child molestation. Fuller is assisted by the prison psychiatrist in obtaining a position. He does well in this position and falls in love with the secretary of the owner of the company. A child is molested and beaten in the town where he now lives and the police pick him up for questioning. He has an alibi and is released, but a reporter who covered his former trial recognizes him. The reporter begins to follow him and reports that Fuller spent time alone with the daughter of his girl friend.

Soon his business attracts the attention of the mafia and the powerful boss Carl Stephans proposes Granger to join his syndicate, with 50% of the profits. Granger accepts the deal and the bookies that do not accept the 20% fees for protection imposed by the syndicate suffer retaliation. The mobster Larry Mason is assigned by the syndicate to work in California with Granger and brings his seductive wife Gail Mason. Granger and Gail fall in love with each other and have a love affair. Granger's accountant Trudy Maxwell finds that Granger has been lured by the syndicate and he complains with Stephans that tells that there are additional costs in his shares. When Larry beats Gail, Granger hires the hitman Gizzi to kill Larry. Meanwhile, the honest Lt. Pete Wright from the Gangster Squad is investigating Granger, in the beginning of his downfall.

However, the master of a Japanese Kung- Fu school in Taiwan has designs on bringing all other schools on the island under his domination, and part of his plan involves the murder of the siblings' grandfather. Undaunted, the brother and sister reestablish their grandfather's school, leading to a final confrontation with the Japanese Kung Fu master. Jackie Chan plays a young thief who at first does not want to learn Kung-Fu, but finally realizes that he can no longer stand by and let the Japanese trample the rights of the Chinese people. He proves extremely adept at the martial arts, and carries the fight to its final conclusion.
