After this, Bishop tells his friends that they have no respect, or juice. To get some, they rob a corner grocery store, but things take an unexpected turn. Only the four friends know what happened, but one of them is out for himself.

She receives encouragement from a young boy who has his entire arm amputated at the same time in the same hospital. He learns to play on her team with one arm. In the end, she takes on a girl for the outfield. A field is dedicated to her in Baltimore by the hundreds of children she coached.
