American Bad Boy
Samuel's dream of buying a recording studio, making a hit record, and becoming a famous hip-hop artist has hit a snag. The money he borrowed to make it all happen is long overdue. With the money all gone and the record far from finished, he becomes desperate for a solution. So when "The Bruce"--unscrupulous businessman and owner of a string of male strip clubs--gives him only six months to pay back $60,000 or say goodbye to his dream, Samuel knows what he's got to do. To make it all work, he going to take it all off. With his looks and his talents, raising enough money to pay off the loan and complete the record ought to be a cinch, but there's still a hitch: for his plan to work, he needs to keep it secret for a number of reasons. First: his "keeper" of a girlfriend would drop him if she found out; second: he's the son of one of the most prominent, respected preachers in the community. And while keeping his job hidden proves easy at first, it isn't long before word gets out. And now, with lines to get into the club extending around the block, women are starting to talk. To top it off, "The Bruce" will stop at nothing to keep his best moneymaker from getting away. It's too late for Samuel to turn back, and he's come too far to quit. How much hiding is possible when the time comes to expose a star?

The Pickle
Harry Stone (Danny Aiello), a formerly top notch director, has had three disastrous movies in a row. Facing dismissal from the top perch of Hollywood and financial ruin from back taxes, he is forced to take on a very commercial and, he believes, ridiculous movie. Now as he faces the film's release and, he believes, another total flop which will complete his ruin, he meets up with his son and daughter and his former wives (which includes Dyan Cannon) to examine his life and his future. The film examines the turmoil a movie director goes through with a film release. His agent (Jerry Stiller) assures him that he has a hit, while those around him wince (as does the audience) at the thought of the movie within the movie. The movie is "The Pickle", a supposedly social satire where a bunch of kids from Kansas take vegetables into space via a super cucumber and land on an Earth-like planet where everyone lives only on beef and die at age 49. As shown in the excerpts of the film, Little Richard stars as the President of the planet who has 6 months to live, Ally Sheedy heads up the Kansas contingent, and Griffin Dunne is the President's aide who falls in love with Sheedy.

Morning Glory
In the 1940s, drifter Will Parker (Christopher Reeve) is new to the small town of Whitney. He just spent five years in prison in Huntsville for killing someone in La Grange, Texas--though he says he didn't do it. The first place he goes is to the diner where Lula (Helen Shaver) works as a waitress, and asks for a paper so he can look for a job. He discovers that Emily Dinsmore (co-writer Deborah Raffin) is advertising for a husband. He goes to her farm and introduces himself. Emily has two boys and is pregnant by her recently-deceased husband. He finally agrees to live in the barn and works hard helping out, but neither he or Emily feels quite comfortable with getting married. Will works hard to improve Emily's situation, and even goes to the public library to learn more about bees, which the farm has (apparently Emily's husband didn't know how to stay safe around them), and the boys also seem to like him as a substitute father. Miss Beasly (Nina Foch), the librarian, is very nice and eventually offers him a night job as library custodian. Lula has a reputation, and she wants Will, along with nearly every other man in town. Most people in town don't want to give Will a chance to go straight, especially Sheriff Reese Goodloe (J.T. Walsh). Emily is a recluse, regarded as 'Crazy Emily,' as a result of abuse she suffered as a child, in the house with the morning glories. Just as Will and Emily seem to climbing from their respective own prisons by marrying in a nearby town, saving money from the sale of eggs and honey, and welcoming a much-desired daughter after a successful home birth, he is suddenly arrested for Lula's murder. Will Emily believe him innocent and help exonerate him, or is the Sheriff right that Will is an evil force in his community?

Divine Love
Brasil, 2027. Joana, a forty-year-old civil servant, works as a notary at the divorce registration office, but her fervent Christian faith drives her to go beyond her job in an attempt to reconcile separated spouses. In order to do so, she has a secret weapon: she persuades them to join Divine Love, a group of which she is a member with her husband, Danilo who creates flower bouquets at their home. Group readings of holy writings, sermons, purifying immersion: Divine Love has everything you'd find in your average run-of-the-mill evangelical community, except that this group also likes to get involved in a bit of swinging - on the sole condition that the man's seed is reserved for his legitimate wife because "supreme pleasure comes from the divine desire to procreate life within the family. But Joana and Danilo are unable to conceive, because he is unable to reach a climax, despite his best efforts (swinging upside down on a machine being one of them). As a result, she has entirely dedicated her existence to God in the hope of a miracle (going up to pray regularly at an astonishing religious drive-in). But when the miracle becomes a reality, everything begins to get a little complicated.
