In the 1950s, an adolescent Werner Herzog was transfixed by a film performance of the young Klaus Kinski. Years later, they would share an apartment where, in an unabated, forty-eight-hour fit of rage, Kinski completely destroyed the bathroom. From this chaos, a violent, love-hate, profoundly creative partnership was born. In 1972, Herzog cast Kinski in Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972). Four more films would follow. In this personal documentary, Herzog traces the often violent ups and downs of their relationship, revisiting the various locations of their films and talking to the people they worked with.

In 1966, producers Bert Schneider and Bob Rafaelson come up with the idea of creating a TV show that would feature the American answer to the Beatles, The Monkees. Whether it's by learning to excel as a band or experimenting with wild ideas for their show and film, Head, nothing seems to work. Meanwhile the band have their internal tensions as various members struggle to decide what is really important to them, simple material success, or having real artistic respect for their work?

In 1987 San Francisco, Eddie Lee Sausage and Mitch Deprey began recording the squabbles of their stranger than fiction neighbors, the bigoted Raymond Huffman and the out and proud Peter Haskett. Olga Nenya is raising sixteen black children in Ukraine where 99.9% of the population is white and where race DOES matter. The reality of growing up as a bi-racial child in Eastern Europe - a rare and truly visible minority - is not for the faint of heart. Forced to constantly defend themselves from racist neighbors and skinheads, these children have to be on guard against the world that surrounds them. No one is related by blood in this family, but everyone is connected by the color of their skin and by the woman who chose to be their mother. Ukrainians don't lend Olga a hand, but Westerners do: a British charity bought them a house and the kids spend their summers with host families in Europe. When a European couple offers to adopt one of the kids, Olga refuses despite being aware of what awaits a black Ukrainian beyond the protective shield of her family. This film is a multi-dimensional portrait of one family, the country they live in, and the bigger world they are a part of.

After being released from an Italian prison, British officer Eric Newby (Blue) must find his way out of Italy before the Germans come.
