Freddie

1 hr 0 mins

Freddie Mercury was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range - the lead singer of Queen defied the conventions of a typical rock frontman. He paved the way for many contemporary artists to have a more confident and theatrical act which indelibly shaped the next generation of pop and rock music. From working as a baggage handler at Heathrow airport to hiding his HIV diagnosis from the public until just before his death, Mercury's life was filled with adventure, publicity, and perhaps above all, a clear duality. He was both flamboyant and shy, outspoken and intensely private. The illness that claimed his life could never have defined Freddie, and now, years later, his legacy is greater than he could have ever imagined.

Innocence

1 hr 40 mins

Making a war is a storyteller's job. A good story is crucial to legitimize the use of military force. That's why militaries need strong promotion and Israel is a model country in promoting its military ventures. We've successfully colonized, occupied and overgrown, and only got stronger and more accepted amongst the nations. Our history as persecuted Jews, our enlightened democracy are both in use in our solid PR kit. But before pitching our story to the world, we need to pitch it to our children. As moral corruption linked with apartheid thrives, avoiding service becomes a threat. For some children we'll offer benefits, for most we'll sell fictitious promises. Every child is screened to serve with bearable pressure and an adjusted amount of exposure to violence. 'Innocence' tells the story of children who resisted to be enlisted but capitulated. Their stories were never told as they died during their service. Through a narration based on their haunting diaries, the film depicts their inner turmoil. It interweaves first-hand military images, key moments from childhood until enlistment and home videos of the deceased soldiers whose stories are silenced and seen as a national threat.

This is a documentary that aims to develop several topics related to the different types of hunting, including but not limited to: trophy, sport, indigenous, and subsistence hunting. Hunting is the act of trapping and killing animals. The work carried against hunting by hunt saboteur organizations, anti-poaching entities, educational groups, as well as individuals will be highlighted in addition to local laws and law enforcement branches that are dedicated to monitor hunting and address poaching. The documentary will investigate and expose the effects that hunting has on local ecosystems, wildlife populations, and endangered species. On the Wild Side will attempt to analyze what drives people to kill for entertainment or sport. Additionally, we will bring to light the power that hunting lobbies have on law makers and the media. Most specifically we will show how their propaganda helps to create acceptance of hunting and the unfounded fear of predators. The goal of this documentary is to educate people about the realities of hunting and to act as a catalyst towards the eventual end of hunting.
