CBS adds to its daytime game-show lineup with an updated version of the classic TV show of the 1960s, filmed in Los Angeles. Hosted by comic/singer/actor Wayne Brady, contestants, often dressed in a wide variety of original costumes, will still compete for money and prizes by striking wacky deals. Jonathan Mangum is the show's announcer, and Monty Hall, arguably the best-known host of the earlier version of the show, is listed among the new show's creative consultants. Wheel of Fortune features a competition in which contestants solve word puzzles, similar to those used in Hangman, to win cash and prizes determined by spinning a giant carnival wheel.

Widower sheriff Andy Taylor invites his aunt, Bee Taylor, to move in with him to help take care of his son Opie, after his housekeeper leaves to get married. Mayberry is a nice little town, not far from big city Raleigh. Andy and cousin Deputy Barney Fife have various love interests throughout the series. The most endearing thing about this series is the loving relationship between Andy and his son Opie. It's a "feel good" series that's been enjoyed for decades by all ages.

Wildfire is the story of what happens when Kris Furillo, willful daughter of a lousy mother, who took a bad start in life landing her in jail, gets parole because Pablo Betart, an excellent foreman who also had a juvenile record, gets her a job on the horse ranch of the Ritter family, where she proves her worth working with horses, especially Wildfire, but still wrestles with her past and upsets the social dynamics there, not in the least because of her appeal on the owners' teenage boys, Jean Ritter's son Matt and Ken Davis' son Kenny 'Junior' Davis.

Widower Lucas McCain can fire a round with his specially modified Winchester in three-tenths of a second. Added to his high moral code and resolve enable him to help Marshal Micah Torrance maintain order in town while raising his son, Mark, on a ranch near North Fork, New Mexico.

Ralph Kramden is a New York bus driver who dreams of a better life. With his eccentric good friend, Ed Norton the sewer worker, he constantly tries crazy schemes to strike it rich. All the while, his exasperated wife Alice is always there to bring him down to earth--or to pick him up if he beats her to it. For as much as they fight, even Ralph knows in his heart that she is the greatest part of his life. ... and while he may 'show' a hand and say "you wanna go to the moon Alice?" .... we know he loves her too much for that and Alice knows he's not that kind of a man.

Rob Petrie is the head writer for the television sketch comedy, the Alan Brady Show, starring the egotistical Alan Brady. Rob's appointment started off as being a controversial one, especially to his two co-writers, the more experienced Buddy Sorrell and Sally Rogers, who end up becoming his friends regardless. Rob has to balance his New York City work life with his New Rochelle home life with wife Laura Petrie, who he met while he was in the army and she a dancer with a USO troupe, and their young son Ritchie. Although largely content in her roles as housewife and mother, Laura on occasion aspires to her former dancer life, which places added complications into the marriage.

Widower Steven Douglas is left to bring up three boys with the aid of his father-in-law, Michael "Bub" O'Casey, and later Bub's younger brother, "Uncle Charley." The series revolves around the trials and tribulations of life's experiences as a single parent family.

Meet the Clampett clan: There's Jed, the kind, intelligent patriarch (although lacking formal education) turned into an overnight millionaire through a stroke of luck. While he appears to be in a state of retirement, he is still frequently kept busy by trying to keep his family out of trouble and make peace with his neighbors. Then there is Granny, the matriarch of the clan who is mature, highly opinionated, paranoid of new-fangled ways and things. She considers herself to be highly educated (a self-proclaimed Doctor of Hillbilly Medicine) and has difficulty understanding why anyone doubts her wisdom. Then there is Elly May; beautiful, but awkwardly naive. Apparently in her late teens or early twenties, she is considered an 'Old Maid' by the standards of her culture back in the mountains of her childhood. Last but definitely not least, there is Jethro Bodine, the somewhat slow-witted nephew of Jed. He is constantly attempting to find a girlfriend by impressing them with his education (elementary school) and imaginary skills as a 'Secret Agent'. Other recurring characters are Mr. Drysdale, a greedy banker who will do anything to keep the Clampett money in his bank; and "Miss Jane" Hathaway, the overworked under-appreciated secretary of Mr. Drysdale.

Angels are dispatched from heaven to inspire people who are at crossroads in their lives. Monica (Roma Downey), an angel who at times still needs some guidance with her Earthly assignments, reports to Tess (Della Reese), her tough, wise, and always loving supervisor. Joining them is Andrew (John Dye), who, in addition to his duties as the Angel of Death, helps out as a caseworker on various assignments. The angels may not bring answers to every problem, but they always deliver a message of hope.

Richie Cunningham and his friend Potsie face life at Jefferson High in Milwaukee Wisconsin in the 1950s. Lots of changes over time as kids come and go, new series spin off, Richie and pals go to college then the army. Even marriage.
