Hannibal Hopkins & Sir Anthony

0 hrs 53 mins

Hopkins' career has spanned several decades, which is why we will also use many interviews that he gave throughout his life, allowing us to put him back into the context of each period and will be helpful in understanding his role in the history of cinema, because he was far from following the trends. He never belonged to any film movement; he is a chameleon that has always preferred natural acting, 'non-acting' when method acting was the fashion.

Hollywood Bulldogs: The Rise and Falls of the Great British Stuntman

1 hr 45 mins

Hollywood Bulldogs tells the rough-and-tumble story of the small community of British stunt performers who went on to dominate Hollywood in the 1970s and 80s. Growing out of the ragtag community of bouncers, gangsters and de-mobbed soldiers who were prepared to take a punch or chuck themselves down a flight of stairs for a few quid, the next generation went on to turn stunt work into a legitimate profession. They created and performed the iconic action sequences of 007, Indiana Jones, Superman, Rambo, Star Wars, Conan, the Alien films and pretty much everything since. They crashed cars, jumped from burning buildings, shot, stabbed, kicked and punched their way into cinema history. This is the first feature documentary to unite this legendary community in telling their story and as you'll see, there's life in the old dogs yet.

Morgan Freeman: Breaking Barriers

1 hr 0 mins

Roll the camera. Filmography numbers for 84-year-old actor Morgan Freeman have already hit the 100-plus mark. No surprise that five Oscar nominations including a win for 'Million Dollar Baby' would result. Perhaps it is the distinctive velvet smooth voice and calming demeanor that made Freeman a household name. A sonorous sound continues to guide audiences through the Shawshank Redemption prison, limousine ride in 'Driving Miss Daisy', 'March of the Penguins' documentary and even the 'Hall of President's at Disney World. The son of a Tennessee barber and schoolteacher, Freeman would call Mississippi then Chicago home. Morgan had a passion for acting but dreamt of being a pilot. Yet he turned down a college scholarship to serve in the Air Force as a mechanic and radar technician. Then off to the stage during the sixties as a dancer at the New York World's Fair and actor on Broadway. Kids of the 1970's first met Freeman on The Electric Company TV program. These days the show goes on beyond the big screen since the Voice of America has as of late reinvented himself as both a pilot and honey beekeeper.

Nobody Famous

1 hr 8 mins

Set against the backdrop of a socially and politically volatile sixties, Nobody Famous traces the quick rise and steady fall of sixties folk/pop trio, The Pozo Seco Singers. Recounted through the current day lens of former member, Taylor Pie, (at the time fresh from her first year in College) we watch as a young woman navigates the choices and responsibility that come with sudden success. A chance meeting backstage at a local Texas hootenanny between Susan Taylor (aka Taylor Pie), Donnie Williams and Lofton Kline sparked what would become The Pozo Seco Singers. A South Texas radio hit "Time" and one fortuitous meeting with a record label executive quickly has the group courted by and subsequently signed with Columbia Records. Following soon after, the group is taken under the wings of infamous artist manager Albert Grossman (of Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin fame). By the late sixties, folk music's zeitgeist gives way to the heady rhythm of rock and roll. Ironically, it is the signing of Janis Joplin by Columbia and Albert Grossman (the group's own label and manager) that leads to the demise of not only folk as popular music, but with it any chance of further success for the folk/pop trio. While fellow member Don Williams goes on to become one of the most successful country music artists of the 20th century, Susan shies away from fame and fortune, instead choosing to "go where the folk wind blows", embracing her own path, her own unique artistry and her own individual identity in the process.

Catching Air

1 hr 19 mins

Despite holding its world championships each August on a massive outdoor stage in Finland to 10K in-person fans and being broadcast and covered in the news around the world, competitive air guitar is still widely mocked. It's seen as a frivolous pursuit by people with no talent who can't play real instruments. The reality is quite different: From office workers to school mascots to art directors and actual musicians, the international air guitar community is a tight-knit, creative group of fun-loving people from all walks of lives. Catching Air is a documentary about those people-competitors who channel their own personal creativity through the purest form of rock n' roll expression: playing the air guitar. Through multiple intersecting storylines, Catching Air follows a cast of memorable characters as the air guitar community gets them through the both the best-and toughest-times of their lives. We're talking about true love and life-and-death situations here, people. It also follows the dreams of three veterans all vying for the U.S. title during one season, and tells the story of one musician's unlikely and tradition-defying journey to winning the Air Guitar World Championships.
