When an otherworldly organism crash lands on Earth, a group of grief-stricken friends led by Luke Hemsworth (Westworld), Anna Hutchison (The Cabin in the Woods) and Tom Atkins (Halloween III), must overcome a recent tragedy and face their fear of the unknown to uncover the unimaginable secret the alien holds. While on vacation on Northern Australia, Gracie, her husband Adam, and her younger sister Lee decide to take the Blackwater Barry tour in the swamp for fishing. Their guide Jim uses a small motor boat and takes the tourist along the river to a remote spot. When they stop, they are attacked by a huge crocodile that capsizes their boat and immediately kills Jim. The three survivors climb a tree and when they realize that help will never come to rescue them, they decide to try to find a way out of their sheltered location. But in the muddy water, their boat is flipped and the crocodile stalks the trio under the water.

But now, after many of the marines are killed, Leprechaun turns Dr. Mittenhand into a grotesque monster and plans to blow up the ship. The remaining marines have to stop his evil plans and blow *him* up.

Lenny and Amanda have an adopted son Max who turns out to be brilliant. Lenny becomes obsessed with finding Max's biological parents because he believes that they also must be brilliant. When he discovers that Linda Ash is Max's biological mother, Lenny is disappointed. Linda is a happy-go-lucky prostitute and part-time porn star. On top of that, she is quite possibly the dumbest person Lenny has ever met. Interwoven is a Greek chorus linking the story with the story of Oedipus.

Ten years have passed since the death of millionaire, Cyrus Norman. Cosby, Cyrus' attorney, has gathered Cyrus' 6 remaining relatives to his New Orleans' mansion for Cyrus' "reading of the will". To the others disappointment, Joyce is the sole heir, but, due to a streak of insanity running in the family, a second will has been made in case Joyce falls victim to it. This puts Joyce in danger. Suddenly, Miss Lu, Cyrus' maid, appears and warns them that the spirits have told her that one of them will die that night. Following this, Hendrick, a prison guard, warns them that, "The Cat", a homicidal maniac has escaped. This sets up Cyrus' relatives with a night filled with murders, mysteries and intrigue.
