Brian McLean is a ruthless bush-pilot in Canada. He offers some other pilots an opportunity of earning a lot of money, but he marries the girl-friend of one of them. After listening to Churchill's famous "Blood, Sweat and tears" radio address he and some other pilots decide to join the RCAF - and his superior is always the pilot who's girlfriend he has married. Due to this and the fact, that McLean doesn't like to obey he gets troubles.

A new flight surgeon and a Navy pilot overcome personal differences to work on solving the problem of Altitude Sickness which causes blackouts at high altitude. The real stars of the film are the pre-World War II Navy aircraft featured in full color.

The movie is about a loyal servant, Muthu (Rajni), working for Zamindar Malayasimman (Sarath Babu), and their triangular love with a stage artist, Ranganayaki (Meena) and the cunning plans by the uncle of Malasimman which uncovers some mystery about Muthu.

The story is based on the infamous case of Samuel Holmes "Sam" Sheppard D.O., an American neurosurgeon tried in 1954 for the murder of his pregnant wife. The movie had a TV sequel and a TV show about the character of Petrocelli and his further cases.
