A Wife's Nightmare
In Ridgewood, Washington, architect Liz Michaels, guitarist Gabe Michaels, and their teenage son AJ Michaels are just getting back on their feet as a family unit after Liz returns home from the hospital where she was recovering from a nervous breakdown suffered three months before from overall stress. While Gabe does what he can to ease Liz back into life, AJ has not completely forgiven his mother, not only for her actions, but more specifically for the hurtful things she said leading up to the breakdown. While work at Tillman and Associates was where she ultimately collapsed, Liz feels the financial pressure to go back to work as Gabe, without a wage per se, completes his latest recording. Tillman also has mixed feelings about Liz's return as although he will admit that she was a financial benefit to the company when she was well, her collapse led to the company losing lucrative business. During this crucial recovery time, Liz and Gabe are approached by a young woman, 19-year-old Caitlin Patterson, stating that she believes she might be Gabe's biological daughter, and Gabe admits that before he knew Liz he had a brief relationship with Caitlin's mother, Elaine Patterson. Caitlin only found out about Gabe's existence and the probability of he being her biological father among Elaine's possessions after she passed away the previous month, leaving Caitlin destitute and homeless. While Gabe and Caitlin go to have a blood test, Liz and Gabe welcome down-and-out Caitlin into their home for the several days until they get the results. While Liz seemed to be on the mend prior to meeting Caitlin, her life begins to unravel both at home and at work, and she has both a feeling and circumstantial evidence that Caitlin is the source of all her problems. Or, as she questions her own judgment, is she just falling back into the issues that landed her in the hospital in the first place?

St. Elmo's Fire
Seven friends - Alec, Billy, Jules, Kevin, Kirby, Leslie and Wendy - are trying to navigate through life and their friendships following college graduation. Alec, who aspires to political life, has just shown his true colors by changing his allegiance from Democrat to Republican, which freaks out girlfriend Leslie, who he wants to marry. Budding architect Leslie, on the other hand, has an independent streak. She believes she has to make a name for herself to find out who she is before she can truly commit to another person in marriage. But Leslie and Alec have decided to live together. Because Leslie refuses to marry Alec, he believes that justifies certain behavior. Kirby, who wants to become a lawyer and who pays for his schooling by working as a waiter at their local hangout called St. Elmo's Bar, and struggling writer Kevin are currently roommates. They are on opposite extremes of the romance spectrum. Kirby has just reconnected with Dale Biberman, a slightly older woman he knew in college who is now a doctor. He is madly in love with her and will do *anything* to impress her. Kevin, on the other hand, doesn't date and states he doesn't believe in love, making his friends speculate that he's a closet homosexual who is secretly in love with Alec. Kevin will eventually open himself up to the one friend who matters the most. Billy, married with a child, is the irresponsible one of the group who would rather sleep around and play the saxophone than face the realities of being an adult with family commitments. He still lives for the memory of his fraternity glory days. Virginal and sheltered Wendy, who comes from a wealthy family, works in a low paying social services job. Her family provides for all her financial needs. She is in love with Billy, who in turn takes advantage of her adoration of him. And most are concerned about Jules, who works in a bank, lives a life of excess in all facets and doesn't have the financial means to live that lifestyle. The question for all seven becomes whether their friendship can survive adult real life.

Purgatory
The TV movie "Purgatory" is a Western-fantasy film that explores themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the consequences of one's actions. It tells the story of a group of outlaws who find themselves in a mysterious town called Refuge, where time seems to stand still, and they must confront their past sins and face the possibility of either finding redemption or eternal damnation. The movie begins with a violent shootout between the outlaws and a group of lawmen. As the outlaws flee, they stumble upon the town of Refuge, which appears to be a peaceful and idyllic place. However, they soon discover that something is amiss when they notice that the town's residents are all from different time periods and seem to be trapped in a cycle of eternal purgatory. The leader of the outlaws, Blackjack Britton, played by Eric Roberts, is a cold-blooded killer who has spent his life committing heinous crimes. Upon arriving in Refuge, he meets a mysterious preacher named Brother Joseph, played by Sam Shepard, who seems to have supernatural powers and claims to be the gatekeeper of the afterlife. As the outlaws spend time in Refuge, they are forced to confront their past actions and the consequences they have on their souls. Each character goes through a personal journey of self-discovery and redemption. They are confronted with their victims and given a chance to repent for their sins. Throughout the film, the outlaws interact with the town's residents, who act as mirrors reflecting their past actions. They encounter a young girl, Amelia, who represents innocence and serves as a reminder of the lives they have destroyed. The outlaws also face off against a group of demonic horsemen, led by a character named Wild Bill Hickok, played by Peter Stormare, who symbolize their own inner demons and the darkness they carry within. As the outlaws navigate their way through the enigmatic town, they must make choices that will determine their ultimate fate. Some characters, like Blackjack Britton, struggle with the idea of redemption and cling to their violent ways, while others, like the outlaw Doc Woods, played by Donnie Wahlberg, seek forgiveness and strive to change their path. The climax of the film occurs when the outlaws are confronted by the demonic horsemen and must engage in a final battle between good and evil. It is during this confrontation that their true nature and the choices they have made are revealed. In the end, "Purgatory" explores the concept of redemption and the power of forgiveness. It raises questions about the nature of good and evil, and the possibility of finding salvation even for those who have committed terrible acts. The film offers a thought-provoking exploration of morality and the consequences of one's actions, all set within the backdrop of a Western-fantasy tale.

Sex and the City
After moving in together in an impossibly beautiful New York apartment, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big make a rather arbitrary decision to get married. The wedding itself proves to be anything but a hasty affair--the guest list quickly blooms from 75 to 200 guests, and Carrie's simple, label-less wedding gown gives way to an enormous creation that makes her look like a gigantic cream puff. An upcoming photo spread in Vogue puts the event--which will take place at the New York Public Library--squarely in the public eye. Meanwhile, Carrie's girlfriends--Samantha, the sexpot; Charlotte, the sweet naïf; and Miranda, the rigid perfectionist--could not be happier. At least, they couldn't be happier for Carrie. Charlotte still has the unrealized hope of getting pregnant. Samantha is finding a loving, committed relationship more grueling than she could have imagined. Miranda unwittingly lets her own unhappiness--created when Steve admits to cheating on her just once--spoil Carrie's. After a heated encounter with Steve, she happens to spot Mr. Big and tells him he's crazy to get married. She's really only thinking of her own marriage. But her angry remark gets Mr. Big to thinking.
