What she discovers is that they still did not end up together a decade later for many of the same issues, which tells her brain that something will always come between them although they still have feelings for each other. But in the process, Alicia discovers what is important to her and where Marshall fits into these feelings as she, her parents, and the other townsfolk work to block the Davrow Development.
