We're almost at the start of Summer TV, which means that new episodes of Youngerare just around the corner. TV Land's lush series set in the world of publishing will soon return for a new season of tantalizing drama as Liza (Sutton Foster) and Charles (Peter Hermann) step out as an official couple for the first time.

Their secret might be out, but it looks like the pair's troubles are only beginning. Charles stepping down from Empirical in order to pursue their romance certainly changes their dynamic in ways they couldn't have predicted. Liza's career is still on the rise, while his professional trajectory is now stalled, which puts an added strain on the relationship as he struggles with his new unemployed status.

"He gave up a lot to save his company and also to give this relationship a shot, so that's another added pressure on their relationship," Sutton Foster told TV Guide. "But Charles is also trying to reinvent himself. He has to start over, and so a big chunk of the season is about: What does that look like and how does that affect their relationship?"

But Charles' professional woes won't be the only thing threatening their love. There's still the matter of Josh (Nico Tortorella), who remains a huge part of Liza's life despite the fact that they broke up over Liza's feelings for Charles at the end of Season 4. "I don't think [Liza and Josh] can let each other go," Foster added. "There's something, they have a connection that runs deep. She loves Charles and is in a relationship with him, but she will always love Josh."

With Josh facing potential baby mama drama, he'll lean on Liza for support, and that close friendship invites a world of drama for Liza and Charles.

Elsewhere, Kelsey (Hilary Duff) faces some drama of her own in the workplace. Season 6 finds her in a vulnerable position after taking over for Charles as the company's publisher, not realizing that she was walking into a financial calamity. With profits plummeting, it's now her responsibility to reverse course before things spiral out of control -- a hefty task for someone's first day on the job. As the series delves into what it's like for a woman in power who's been set up to fail, we'll see a different side of Kelsey that hadn't been explored until now.

"I think this is the most insecure season for Kelsey," Hilary Duff said. "Whereas other seasons she'd been really confident and knew her worth, she's now sitting in this position which she always dreamed of and felt ready [to take on] until she realized that the company was in as bad a shape as it is." Can she rise to the occasion or will Millennial's new leader fall flat on her face?

Younger returns for Season 6 on Wednesday, June 12 at 10/9c on TV Land.
