In a move to stand out from competitor American Idol, The X Factor will have two hosts when it premieres this fall on Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Our job is to make sure the two shows are as distinct as possible," the CEO of FremantleMedia North America, which will produce X Factor, Cecile Frot-Coutaz told the magazine. "And I can reveal that we'll have two hosts on The X Factor."

American Idol memorably began with two hosts — Ryan Seacrest and Dunkleman — before the latter was let go prior to Season 2. NBC's upcoming singing competition, The Voice, will also only employ one host — Carson Daly.

As for the judges table, only former record label chairman L.A. Reid has been confirmed, but British X Factor judge Cheryl Chloe is rumored to be joining the U.S. version as well.
