Kane is looking to set a goal record
Time: Saturday, July 7 at 10/9c
Channel: Fox, Telemundo and NBC Universo
Stream Online: Hulu with Live TV or fuboTV (Try for free)
Sweden needed a single goal to oust Switzerland from the competition on Sunday. Emil Forsberg scored that goal at 66 minutes, allowing the team to progress to the quarter finals for the first time in nearly 25 years, and earning him Man of the Match honors. Sweden has also held their opponents scoreless in three out of four of their games, and they'll be looking to do the same to England this weekend. Unfortunately for Sweden, England has Harry Kane on the team, a player who has scored six goals, matching the entire output of team Sweden. Kane will be looking to add another goal to his total, breaking the English record for the most goals scored in a World Cup tournament; he's currently tied with Gary Lineker for the record.
The game at Samara Arena, Samara starts at 6 p.m. local time, or 10 a.m. ET. You can watch it live on Fox in English, or in Spanish on Telemundo and NBC Universo through your cable company. If you don't have cable you can stream it via Hulu with Live TV or fuboTV.
English fans are undoubtedly enjoying a few days between games after the heart-pounding finish to the game against Colombia. Colombia managed to tie the game in the 93rd minute, forcing it into extra time, and then to penalties. England managed to win it 4-3; you probably heard the cries of joy from your nearest English pub. You might be hearing more of the same on Saturday.
