After a disappointing 2024 season, the San Francisco 49ers endured the loss of some key players, including four former Pro Bowlers in the offseason. Unable to replace the lost talent in free agency thanks to cost-cutting measures, San Francisco instead drafted a whole lot of young talent. Can this young, lean and mean crew manage a playoff appearance? Or is their dream of another Super Bowl rapidly vanishing? There's only one way to find out. Here's where to watch San Francisco 49ers games live in 2025.

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 23: Jeff Wilson Jr. #20 of the San Francisco 49ers celebrates after scoring a touchdown during the NFL Preseason 2025 game between Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium on August 23, 2025 in Santa Clara, California.
Ezra Shaw/Getty ImagesWith talent like Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy leading San Fran's offense, the team always has a shot at the postseason. But Purdy's health continues to be a concern. After a sidelining injury last year, Purdy's performance declined across the board compared to his 2023 numbers. His ability to remain on the field could be the determining factor, not only in his continued development as a quarterback, but also in the 49ers' odds of reaching the playoffs.
On the defensive side, the 49ers were gutted by the loss of six starters. Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh is back for his second stint in San Francisco. Last time, he was able to resurrect one of the league's worst defenses, helping to lead them to a Super Bowl appearance. Can he work his magic once again? Or will his second attempt at rebuilding the 49ers defense be a long, slow, and winding road?
This season, 49ers games will be broadcast on FOX, CBS, NBC, and ESPN. As always, blackout restrictions may apply depending on your location.
Peacock is the streaming hub for NBC, and it's carrying a couple of 49ers matchups this season, including one in October and another in late December. To tune in, you'll need a subscription, either the Premium plan at $10.99/month ($109.99/year) or the Premium Plus plan at $16.99/month ($169.99/year). Both options give you full access to live NFL coverage, including those key 49ers games.
You can also subscribe to Peacock via Prime Video, which costs the same.
Paramount+ is the streaming home of CBS, which is broadcasting three 49ers games this season. To watch, you'll need the Paramount+ Premium plan, which costs $12.99/month ($119.99/year). This plan gives you access to CBS' live coverage of 49ers matchups, along with the rest of Paramount+'s streaming lineup.
You can also subscribe to Paramount+ Premium using Prime Video, which costs the same.
ESPN Unlimited is the all-in-one home for ESPN action, and 49ers fans will want it in their lineup this season. Every game airing on ESPN is also available here, making it a must-have for anyone who doesn't want to miss San Francisco on the field. The service costs $29.99/month, or you can bundle it with Disney+ and Hulu for the same $29.99/month for 12 months. After the promo, the price moves up to $35.99/month.
Fubo is another solid option for 49ers fans, offering every channel that airs the team's games. Plans start with Pro at $54.99 for the first month ($84.99/month after), while Elite with Sports Plus ($74.99 first month, then $104.99/month) and Deluxe ($84.99 first month, then $114.99/month) add extras like NFL RedZone and ESPN Unlimited for even more football coverage.
DIRECTV STREAM has every channel you'll need to catch 49ers games, including FOX, CBS, NBC, and ESPN (channel availability may vary by location). Plans range from Entertainment at $84.99/month to Premier at $164.99/month, with Choice ($89.99/month) standing out for its 125+ channels. You can also add Genre Packs like MySports ($69.99/month), which includes NFL Network, Big Ten Network, and ESPN Unlimited for even more football coverage.
Hulu + Live TV is another great way to watch 49ers games on FOX, CBS, NBC, and ESPN. The bundle with Hulu (with ads), Disney+ (with ads), and ESPN Unlimited (with ads) costs $82.99/month, giving you everything you need to stream San Francisco all season long.
Sling TV carries nearly all the channels you'll need for 49ers games in 2025, with the exception of CBS. Its Orange & Blue plan is $60.99/month, but Sling also offers flexible passes starting at $4.99/day, $9.99/weekend, and $14.99/week. This makes it a budget-friendly choice whether you want to commit for the season or just catch a few key matchups. Keep in mind, prices may vary here.
NFL+ is a convenient option for 49ers fans who want to follow the team on the go. The standard plan is $6.99/month and streams live local and primetime games on phones or tablets, along with live audio for every matchup. NFL+ Premium is $14.99/month and includes NFL RedZone, letting you see every touchdown across the league on Sundays. Keep in mind that live games are limited to mobile and tablet devices, so NFL+ works best as a companion when you're away from the TV.
San Francisco 49ers fans watching from abroad can catch every play through DAZN's NFL Game Pass International, the only way to stream the full season outside the U.S. Instead of worrying about which channel has the game, DAZN gives you one-stop access with live broadcasts and on-demand replays. Pricing is flexible: choose the month-to-month option at $29.99, lock in a 12-month commitment at $19.99/month, or grab the $224.99 annual plan for the biggest savings. With extras like major boxing cards, MMA events, and exclusive sports documentaries, DAZN keeps 49ers fans entertained long after the final whistle.
Blackout restrictions can be frustrating for 49ers fans. You go to watch the game, only to find it's not available in your area. A VPN is a simple workaround — services like ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, or NordVPN can mask your location so you won't miss a snap of San Francisco's season.
