Wheel of Fortune Apologizes for Fast and Furious Puzzle Answer

Wheel of Fortune has apologized for featuring a Fast and the Furious puzzle on Monday's show just two days after Paul Walker's death.  After the episode aired, the show explained via Twitter that the episode was taped on Oct. 4 and that it was "an unfortunate coincidence that it aired tonight."

Wheel of Fortune has apologized for featuring a Fast and the Furious puzzle on Monday's show just two days after Paul Walker's death. 

After the episode aired, the show explained via Twitter that the episode was taped on Oct. 4 and that it was "an unfortunate coincidence that it aired tonight."

"The hearts of everyone at Wheel of Fortune go out to the family, friends & fans of Paul Walker," the show added.

Pat Sajak shared his apologies as well, tweeting: "Feel terrible about timing of 'Fast & Furious' puzzle tonight. Taped long ago & went out to 200 local stations days ago."

Walker and his friend Roger Rodas died a fiery car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif., Saturday after the Porsche Carrera GT they were in collided into a tree and a light pole. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, with autopsies underway as of Tuesday, according to The Los Angeles Times.
