1. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story

Ryan Murphy's follow up to the critically-acclaimed People vs. O.J. Simpson will chronicle the famed designer's murder as well as the life of his killer Andrew Cunanan. It stars Darren Criss as Cunanan, Edgar Ramirez as Versace, Ricky Martin as Versace's partner and Penelope Cruz as his sister Donatella. It premieres Wednesday, Jan. 17 on 10/9c on FX, but you can also stream it this weekend on the network's app.

2. Portlandia

The final season of this absurdist comedy series starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein is set to tackle the #MeToo movement and will include a story about sexual harassment in the workplace. Twin Peaks and Showgirls alumKyle MacLachlan returns as the mayor for the comedy's final season. Other guests slated to appear in Season 8 include Rashida Jones, Rachel Bloom, Tracee Ellis Ross, and John Mulaney and Nick Kroll as their characters from the Broadway show Oh Hello! The show kicks off its final run on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 10/9c on IFC and you can also catch the first seven seasons on Netflix.

3. Grace and Frankie

This refreshing comedy stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as Grace and Frankie, former rivals who become friends after their husbands dump them for each other. Season 4 will tackle the health challenges that come with aging and see Lisa Kudrow guest star as Grace's manicurist and new best friend. The series also stars Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston. Catch the new season when it arrives on Netflix Friday, Jan. 19.

4. Counterpart

Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons stars as a low-level analyst for a UN spy agency who discovers that his company is actually guarding a secret pathway to a parallel dimension. He is then sent on a mission to act as a double for his alternate-reality self which can only lead to further complications. This mind-blowing series premieres Sunday, Jan. 21 at 8/7c on Starz. If you can't watch the premiere live, you can also catch it streaming on the network's app.
