Exclusive: WGN America Plans 100-Episode Binge Event for Person of Interest and Elementary

Tired of waiting for Person of Interest and Elementaryto return from hiatus? WGN America has your solution.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, WGN America, the exclusive cable home of both series, will launch its new "Prime Crime" programming block and offer a 100-episode binge event. Over two weeks, the cable channel will air 100 episodes of the two shows, starting from the very beginning of each series.

Elementary bows first with six episodes beginning Aug. 31 at 7/6c. The following day, WGN will air the first three episodes of Person of Interest beginning at 7/6c, followed by three more episodes of Elementary beginning at 10/9c. Then, on Sept. 7, WGN will air a 12-hour Labor Day marathon of both shows beginning at 1/12c.

Person of Interest stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson as a pair of vigilantes who prevent violent crimes before they happen with the help of an advanced surveillance system known as The Machine. Elementary is a modern retelling of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, with Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock and Lucy Liu's Joan Watson helping the NYPD solve its most difficult cases.

The two shows, whose off-network airing rights WGN America obtained in 2014, join fellow CBS procedural Blue Bloods in the Prime Crime lineup. WGN America is also the home of original series Salem and Manhattan.
