"It's the 25th anniversary and it's perfect timing," Jones told E! News. "It's not an accident, man. That's God. It will be 'We Are the World' for Haiti."

The original song, written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and co-produced by Jones, benefitted African famine relief. Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles and others joined Richie and Jackson on the track

The new recording will feature Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Will Smith, Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow and Mya, according to E!'s report. Crash writer-director Paul Haggis is also reported to be filming the recording session, which is set for next Monday.
