The Walking Dead: Michael Cudlitz May Have Revealed Abraham's Fate

We know who Negan didn't kill — or do we?

(Potential The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers below! Don't say we didn't warn you!)

In the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, new villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed somebody with a baseball bat, and the show has been CIA-level secretive about not spoiling who it was. But Michael Cudlitz, the actor who plays Abraham, one of the three most likely victims, may have just revealed it's not him in an interview with Popsugar.

"Abraham will continue for a while now," Cudlitz said, adding that Negan and Abraham exist at the same time, and that he's still receiving scripts. This could very well mean that Abraham is not the one Negan kills.

Fall TV Preview: Scoop on The Walking Dead and more returning shows

Of course, Cudlitz could be lying to throw fans off the scent. The eagle-eyed scouts at Spoil the Dead still have not spotted him on set since the Season 7 premiere was shot in May. There's also a theory that Negan kills Glenn (Steven Yeun) with the bat and then shoots Abraham. To me, this would be very narratively satisfying because it would stay true to the comics, in which Glenn is the one who dies, while adding more surprise and agony with the death of Abraham. Abraham is already dead in the comics, so the show may not know what to do with him still alive. So, I kind of hope Cudlitz is lying.

What do you think? Is Cudlitz a big fat ginger liar? Do you want to see a double death? Do you wish it was 9/8c on Sunday, Oct. 23 already and you were watching The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere on AMC and this whole time of speculation was over with?
