AMC has tapped The Walking Dead creator-executive producer Robert Kirkman to turn his newest comic, Thief of Thieves, into a series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The comic, first released in February, tells the story of thief Conrad Paulson, who "vows to steal only what's already been stolen, in an effort to right the great wrongs of his life."
Kirkman will team up with Walking Dead producer David Alpert, in addition to Charles Eglee, who worked on Season 1 of Dead. Eglee will serve as showrunner for the new series.
"AMC recognizes the limitless ideas generated by the comic industry," Kirkman says. "Their dedication to bringing The Walking Dead to life as a TV show has been key to its success and I'm excited about the potential of Thief of Thieves to reach similar levels of success."
