Securing a wife after seizing control of Kattegatt is a great tactical move, as King Harald (Peter Franzen) points out, since it allows Ivar to produce an heir and secure his legacy. However, Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) and Margrethe (Ida Marie Nielsen) are quick to share that just because Ivar has a wife now doesn't mean he'll be able to produce an heir. "He is... boneless," Margrethe quips.
Of course, if word gets out that Ivar can't have children, that could definitely complicate things for the fledgling king. He has enemies out to get him, siblings out to get him and even some allies out to get him. Fortunately for Ivar, his new wife doesn't seem too concerned about all the danger they're facing. It seems as though he really has met his perfect match — which is good for him but probably a bad thing for everyone else.
