VIDEO: Johnny Weir Willing to Face Arrest at Sochi Olympics

Out figure skater Johnny Weir says he won't let Russia's anti-gay laws stop him from competing in Sochi if he qualifies for the 2014 Olympic team.

"Like anyone, I'm afraid of being arrested, but also I'm not afraid of being arrested," Weir told CBS News last week, referring to Russia's anti-gay laws banning any homosexual "propaganda" or behavior.

Weir, who has a long-standing love of Russia, says he doesn't care about where the Olympic Games are held, but adds that he's willing to play martyr if it helps civil rights. "If it takes me getting arrested for people to pay attention and for people to lobby against this law, then I'm willing to take it," he says. However, Weir, who finished fifth and sixth, respectively, at the last two Olympics, says he wouldn't go out of his way to broadcast his sexuality. The 2014 Sochi Olympics start Feb. 6.
