The network's new slate of programming announced on Monday shifts the focus away from celebrity reality shows and toward music, with new episodes of favorite VH1 series VH1 Divas, VH1 Hip Hop Honors, Behind the Music and Storytellers.
First up: Christina Aguilera, who will shoot episodes of the latter two series to coincide with the release of her fourth album, Bionic.
Of the 44 original series produced for 2010, new shows include You're Cut Off!, in which nine young women are removed from their privileged lifestyles; Money Hungry, a weight-loss competition in which contestants lose their own cash if they don't drop the pounds, and Diary of a Hip Hop Girlfriend, a docu-soap following four women in love with big name rappers. Dr. Drew Pinsky, of Celebrity Rehabfame, is developing a new show with the network. Estranged with Dr. Drew will tackle troubled relationships in each episode.
