Julia Louis-Dreyfus is basking in the glow of her Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for playing Vice President Selina Meyer on HBO's Veep. (She also earned a Globes nod for her work in the movie Enough Said.) The multiple Emmy winner is already well into shooting Veep's third season, which will find a character getting hitched in an early episode.
But Selina, who's now a presidential hopeful, opts not to attend the ceremony. Instead, she'll be on a book tour in Iowa without any of her familiar handlers. In a following episode, Selina reunites with her staff aboard a Coast Guard vessel, part of an effort to toughen her image by having her chase down drug runners. "We shot that until 5am on the water," says Louis-Dreyfus. "But we had fun."
