Wrestling Icon Ultimate Warrior Dies at 54

Wrestling superstar Ultimate Warrior has died, according to the WWE website. He was 54. Born James Hellwig, the wrestler died Tuesday, just three days after he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. A cause of death was not given. "We are grateful just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and MondayNight Raw to address his legions of fans," WWE said in a statement. "WWE sends its sincere condolences to Warrior's family, friends and fans."

Warrior began wrestling in 1987 and became the WWE Champion at WrestleMania VI three years later, defeating Hulk Hogan. He was so passionate about the sport, he even legally changed his name to Warrior in 1993.

He is survived by his wife Dana and two daughters.
