NBC has placed an order for a new competition series that will pit start-up companies against each other for the chance at winning a $1 million cash infusion.Funded will take a page out of The Voice's playbook by pairing rising entrepreneurs with one of three business mentors in supermodel Tyra Banks, skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and health-food mogul Rohan Oza. The series marks Banks' first major return to television since America's Top Model and her talk show The FAB Life. Dyrdek also has plenty of TV experience on MTV's Rob and Big and Ridiculousness, among others. Oza has helped launch companies like SmartWater's Glaceau and Popchips.Return of the smize! America's Next Top Model is coming back.Said Banks in a statement, "I have spent my life encouraging people to BYOB -- Be Your Own Boss. Making everyday people's dreams come true is what I live for. Funded is the life-changing type of television power project that gets me pumped.
