Tyler Perry Welcomes His First Child

Madea is a mom! Tyler Perry is a dad!

The actor-writer-producer-director and his longtime girlfriend, Gelila Bekele, welcomed their first child last Sunday, E! News reports.

The couple named their new son Aman. Shortly after news broke that they were expecting a child in September, Perry, 45, accidentally revealed the unborn baby's sex during an interview with Extra.

Perry and Bekele, a model and activist, have been dating on and off for the past five years.

Perry was most recently seen in Gone Girl, and will next star in Madea's Tough Love, out early next year.
