TVGN Orders New Kids on the Block Series, Developing Singing Show

TVGN has ordered a cruise series featuring New Kids on the Block, the network announcedTuesday. In addition, the network is developing three new projects, including a singing competition series.

Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block is an eight-episode series that will feature diehard NKOTB fans on week-long cruise with the boy band. TVGN has also ordered a casting special for Rock This Boat: NKOTB.

The network describes the docuseries Sing It On (working title) as "the real-life Pitch Perfect. The show will follow college a cappella groups around the country as they prepare for and compete in the nation's top a cappella contest.

Other projects under development include Soap Town, a docuseries that follows a group of former soap stars as they attempt to produce a new drama series to star in, and Jet to the Set, a travel series that takes viewers to TV and film locations across the country.

Other new series include the previously announced reality shows The Sorrentinos, which will follow Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his family, as well as Unusually Thicke, starring Alan Thicke, which premiered earlier this month. Watch New Kids on the Block clips here.
