Sister rivalries. Cult-like behavior. An endless sea of pastels.

Netflix's new limited series Sirens has more than enough to lure viewers to its story about two sisters (Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock) trying to find common ground in the choppy waters of high society. Devon (Fahy) desperately wants to rescue her sister Simone (Alcock) from the well-manicured clutches of Michaela (Julianne Moore), a billionaire lifestyle aspirant living on the coastal cliff of Port Haven and operating something akin to a cult for the wealthy.

Devon fears her sister has sold her soul to the rich and the famous, all while she is left to care for their ailing father (Bill Camp) as he succumbs to early-onset Alzheimer's. So she infiltrates the Port Haven community with a plan, only to find herself dragged down by the undertow of privilege as well.

The series has been a huge hit for Netflix, leaving viewers hungry for more stories about sibling rivalries, cults dressed up as community, and people just generally behaving badly. If you are one of those looking for your next binge, here are seven shows to cue up to treat a Sirens hangover.

The Better Sister

Released only a week apart, the comparisons between Sirens and The Better Sister are almost too on the nose. Both series are about two sisters — one prim and proper, the other down on her luck — whose dirty laundry is aired out in front of the upper-crust societies of New York. Sirens is less about a murder investigation than The Better Sister, but both still wrestle with the price of fame and sacrificing a part of yourself to be among the elite. The Better Sister follows Chloe (Jessica Biel) and Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), who have to put their differences aside when the man they have both been married to is murdered and Nicky's son is charged with the crime. Secrets are exposed, pristine images are tarnished, and sisters cut deep. Again, it's almost uncanny how similar it is to Sirens.

The Perfect Couple

Netflix

Netflix's buzzy murder mystery, which is perhaps best known for its bonkers opening credits dance number, feels like it could take place right down the beach from the events of Sirens. In this family drama, Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber's seemingly perfect life is pulled apart when someone (a familiar face for those watching Sirens) is murdered the day before their eldest son marries someone they don't exactly approve of. This series, based on the Elin Hildebrand novel, is dripping in all the bright colors of wealth that Sirens is, and might make you want to visit Nantucket yourself. Just with less murder.

Palm Royale

Apple TV+

This retro Apple TV+ series may take place a half century before Sirens, but it shares a lot of the same hallmarks with the series. It lives in the viper pit of a rich community that is hostile to outsiders, if only to protect its own secrets. Kristen Wiig stars as Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons, a social climber willing to do anything to break into the titular Palm Beach country club. The series also boasts a seriously starry cast including Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Laura Dern, Allison Janney and Carol Burnett. If casting the image of a perfect life is at the core of Sirens' toxic relationship with reality, then Palm Royale proves things haven't changed much since 1969.

Revenge

ABC

The Hamptons are a pretty devious and deadly place in this iconic Count of Monte Cristo-inspired ABC series about a young woman named Emily Throne (Emily VanCamp) who moves to a wealthy enclave to get revenge on the family that destroyed hers 20 years earlier. We think the women of Sirens, however naughty they are, might wince at some of the crazy things that happened on Revenge. From fake deaths to involuntary institutionalizations to poisoned soup, nothing was off limits for the filthy rich — something that is very apparent in Sirens as well.

The Path

Hulu

If cults and cult-like figures are what you are wanting more of after watching Sirens, look no further than Hulu's oft-forgotten but underrated The Path. Hugh Dancy stars as Calvin Roberts, a charismatic and ascendant leader in the religious group known as The Meyerist Movement. His hunger for more power over his devoted followers in this fictional cult, which takes its cues from Scientology and Jehovah's Witness religions, puts him at odds with those who would try to clip his wings, including a couple played by Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan. The series is dark and unflinching in its depiction of how glorified people can exploit their followers for their own gain, a dynamic not unlike Moore and Alcock's relationship in Sirens.

Dead Ringers

If we are talking about sisters fighting their worst impulses like those in Sirens, then check out Prime Video's disturbing and singular Dead Ringers. You may get tonal whiplash going from Sirens' candy-colored world to this deeply dark story, but Rachel Weisz is astounding as twin sisters and gynecologists Beverly and Elliot Mantle, who break every rule in pursuit of groundbreaking medical advancement. Or at least that's what they tell themselves. Sinister, sultry, and just the right amount of confusing, Dead Ringers and Weisz in particular were cruelly ignored by most viewers and awards bodies. But it is worth a watch, especially if Sirens didn't go far enough into the creepy side of sisterly bonds for your tastes.

Bad Sisters

Apple TV+

Judging from the title, this one might as well be a direct sibling of Sirens. Apple TV+'s Bad Sisters, from co-creator and star Sharon Horgan, is exactly what it sounds like. The five Dublin-based Garvey sisters get in over their heads when they begin to plot the murder of their slimy brother-in-law, only for him to turn up dead anyway. The dark comedy and dry wit in Bad Sisters is incredibly effective, especially set against the backdrop of Ireland. But it's the dynamic between the sisters that really sells the show. As they each grapple with their own story, the push and pull of how they work in each other's lives and as a unit is really compelling — and exactly what you might be craving after Sirens.
