Welcome to Mega Buzz, your go-to place for the latest and greatest spoilers on your favorite TV shows. We know you have questions, and we have answers! You can also catch up on all the latest Mega Buzz right here!

After spending much of its first season as a spot-on parody of The Staircase, when Trial & Error returns for its second season, Lady, Killer, it will largely draw inspiration from another iconic true-crime doc:The Jinx.

Kristin Chenoweth joins the cast as Lavinia Peck-Foster, the eccentric First Lady of East Peck whose husband Edgar was found dead in a suitcase in her trunk. "My original idea for Lavinia was to do a female Robert Durst," co-creator Jeff Astrof told TV Guide. "I don't want to give too much away, but there's a few nods to that."

And much like Durst, surprising -- and quiet bizarre -- layers to Lavinia will be revealed as the season progresses. (Trust us when we say you'll never see some of these twists coming.) But true-crime buffs should also be on the lookout for references to several other genre touchstones, including Making a Murderer, Serial and The Keepers.

That being said, Trial & Error: Lady, Killer is much more than just a collection of winks and nods. Fans should expect some serious original Pecker drama -- including a love triangle and pregnancy! -- with the fun Easter eggs throughout.

Trial & Error: Lady Killer premieres with back-to-back episodes Thursday, July 19 at 9/8c on NBC.
