Travis Barker says DJ AM has helped inspire his recovery from the plane crash they survived – and says not to believe anything you may have heard from his ex-wife.

"I got to see AM the other day. Seeing him after he was discharged was an inspiration. I saw just how awesome the doctors' work here is, and got to see how well he is doing. I am so happy to see him doing well, and we are both so lucky and grateful that we are alive today," Barker wrote on his MySpace blog Saturday.

Barker, 32, and AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were the only survivors of the crash that occurred just before midnight on Sept. 19 near Columbia, S.C. Two pilots and two other passengers were killed: Barker's assistant Chris Baker, and security guard Charles "Che" Still.

"I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation," the former Blink 182 drummer said. "First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy. "

Barker also says he will undergo is seventh surgery this week, and that on Saturday he was able to to move all the fingers on his right hand for the first time since the crash. He also made a major dietary change.

"Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it," he wrote. He has two children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

But one thing he doesn't share with Moakler, apparently, is an opinion of how he's been treated.

"Despite any rumors you might have heard via my EX-wife Shanna Moakler, who I have not seen since the week I checked in, I've been treated amazingly well, both here in LA and in Georgia," Barker said. "The hospitals I've been treated at are THE BEST."

In case there was any question, he stressed that the medical staff treating him in Los Angeles are "are all bomb!" and "are all taking the best care of me."

Are you impressed by how well Barker is recovering?
