Adam Richman issued an apology on Tuesday for "inexcusable remarks" he made on Twitter and Instagram that led Travel Channel to pull his new show Man Finds Food, ABC News reports.

Last month, the former host of Travel Channel's gluttonous Man v. Foodshowed off his shocking 70-pound weight loss in a mostly nude photoshoot for the July issue of Cosmopolitan. He also added a photo of his new body on Instagram with the hashtag #thinspiration, which didn't sit well with readers since the hashtag is often associated with eating disorders.

After negative comments began to pile up, Richman was quick to fight back. He went so far as to tell commenter to "grab a razor blade and draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you."

"I'm incredibly sorry to everyone I've hurt," Richman said in a statement. "I've long struggled with my body image and have worked very hard to achieve a healthy weight."

Travel Channel announced Monday that Man Finds Food, which was slated to debut Wednesday, has been postponed. No new launch date has been announced.
