After a long and difficult recovery, Tracy Morgan is back.

In June 2014, he was in a car crash that left him in a coma for more than a week. On Sunday night, he came on stage to present the final award of the night at the Emmys. But first, he spoke about how he got back to performing after the accident.

"Last year [then-Emmys host] Jimmy Kimmel sat on the stage and said, 'We'll see you back here next year, Tracy Morgan,'" Morgan began.

"Well, Jimmy, thanks to my amazing doctors, and the support of my family and my beautiful new wife, I'm here, standing on my own two feet. And God bless all of you for your thoughts, your prayers, and your love over the past 15 months.

"I'm honored to be at the Emmys," he continued. "I always have been honored to be here. It's been a long road back."

He explained what that long road had entailed.

"I suffered a traumatic brain injury that put me in a coma for eight days. When I finally regained consciousness, I was just ecstatic to learn that I wasn't the one who messed up," he joked. "Only recently I've started to feel like myself again, so, which means a lot of y'all women are gonna get pregnant at the after-party."

Touching. Welcome back, Tracy!
