Life is a witch and then you fly! Comedy legend Tracey Ullman guest stars on a special Mother's Day-themed episode of the Disney Channel hit Sofia the First,premiering Friday, April 25 (10am/9c). Ullman provides the voice of the wicked witch Marla, mother of Sofia's little friend Lucinda, a good witch.
Ullman joins a wildly impressive list of top names lending their talent to the series this season. Among them: Mandy Moore, Ming-Na Wen, Ginnifer Goodwin, Oliver Platt, Phylicia Rashad, Melissa Rauch, Anna Camp, Isla Fisher, Robert Morse, Christian Borle, Nick Offerman, Sean Astin and Alyson Hannigan.
The plot of Ullman's episode — "Mom's the Word" — finds Sofia disheartened because she now has to share her mom with her new step-sibs, Amber and James, during the annual Mother's Day picnic. Sofia asks Lucinda to cast a spell so that she and her mom can be alone — but this wouldn't be Sofia the First if our little princess didn't learn a great big lesson!
