Tonys 2017: The Great Comet Tops the List of Nominees

The nominees for the 71st Annual Tony Awards have been announced.

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 tops the list with a whopping 12 nominations, including a nod for Best Musical. Hello, Dolly! and Dear Evan Hansen followed behind with 10 and 9 nominations respectively. This year's Tonys come just one year after the Broadway behemoth Hamilton scored a record 16 nominations and walked away with 11 trophies on awards night -- just one shy of The Producers all-time record.

Previous Tony Award nominees Christopher Jackson (Hamilton) and Jane Krakowski (She Loves Me) announced the nominees for the 2017 ceremony on Tuesday in New York and broadcast live on TonyAwards.com.

This year's ceremony will be hosted by Kevin Spacey air live on Sunday, June 11 at 8/7c on CBS.
