But while questions about who's really good or bad loom, this episode focuses on a group of corrupt Wall Street brokers that Peter and Neal try to take down. The case isn't a run-of-the-mill one for Neal, though, because his deal with the FBI is riding on a successful conclusion to the investigation. — Brie Hearn

It was wicked good in Boston and peachy in Georgia in last week's season-opening shows, both of which encapsulated what these preliminary auditions are all about — cringe-worthy train-wreck auditions and those elevated moments when we all discover a genuine talent together. And average folks shine on — how about Guitar Girl and scene-stealing General Larry Platt, author of the artful anthem "Pants on the Ground"? These colorful opening tryouts continue tonight when the judges blow into the Windy City. Tomorrow night's show takes us to Orlando, Fla. — Dean Maurer

The contestants go back to school when the pairs are divided into teachers and students. The teachers work out with Bob and Jillian and try to commit the routines to memory. Later, the teachers must pass on what they've learned to their partners, who aren't allowed to work out with the trainers. Here's a matchmaker, matchmaker who can make them a match, find them a find, catch them a catch. Patti Stanger doesn't fiddle around when the matchmaking reality show opens its third season. Her first two clients of the season are Omar and Nick, two big-bucks founders of a trash-removal company. But there might be some trash talkin' with these hunks of junk: One of them doubts Patti's matchmaking abilities, while the other believes most women are only attracted to his wealth. — Dean Maurer

In the past few years, A&E has been finding success with reality programming following law-enforcement officials and shows exploring the paranormal. Now they've found a way to combine the two. A new reality series follows a group of Chicago cops who moonlight as paranormal investigators, applying their honed skills in crime investigation to otherworldly mysteries. In the opener, they help a store's night manager who thinks something unusual is going on in the basement. — Bill Ecklund
