New Adventures of Old Christine

8/7c CBS
Ritchie, a school bully? Yep! Christine learns the disturbing truth about her son and the discovery leads her to an amazing decision. She decides to set a good example by apologizing to the woman (Amy Sedaris) she dubbed "Frankenstein" in junior-high school. Of course, nothing goes the way Christine planned. — Tim Holland
Glee
9/8c Fox
This is it until April, so expect big news. For starters, Will and Terri's marriage. Let's hope that things work out better for Terri than they did for Jessalyn Gilsig's Nip/Tuck character, Gina. Then there's Emma and Ken's wedding and, of course, sectionals. Sue is scheming and Quinn's secret is unraveling, so the glee kids might not get what they want. But, as Mick Jagger once put it (and the kids rousingly repeat tonight): "You get what you need." — Paul Droesch
Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009
10:01/9:01c ABC
Go-round No. 17 for Babs' Top 10. As usual, the No. 1 person is a secret, and this year there's no obvious choice. (A presidential election makes it easier.) But there is a repeater and, you betcha, it's Sarah Palin. Glenn Beck grabs 2009's conservative-commentator slot (Rush Limbaugh was 2008's), and 40-year-old NFL QB Brett Favre is the sports guy. Rounding out the list: Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, Tyler Perry, Kate Gosselin, South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford and Michael Jackson's kids. — Paul Droesch
Spectacle: Elvis Costello With...
10/9c Sundance
Season 2 comes out rockin' with U2's Bono and the Edge joining the host for a convivial, candid and music-filled hour. Hard to tell what's more enjoyable — the reflective, brogue-tinged banter or the splendid set list. The talk touches on musical influences and appreciation of artists such as Leonard Cohen, Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. As for the music, standouts are the moody, croony moonlight cocktail "Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad," and the finale, a "Pump It Up/Get On Your Boots" medley that's a supersonic blast. — Ray Stackhouse
