My Nanny's Secret

There are many secrets a nanny could have. Though most scenarios have already been immortalized on film, Haylie Duff, in the title role of this 2009 cable drama, has another one. Duff plays nanny Claudia, an orphaned young woman saddled with a troublesome brother (Dillon Casey) who has a penchant for problems. When Claudia's employer is fatally injured during a home invasion, suspicion falls on her brother and it's up to Claudia to find the truth — whether she wants to or not. — Rhoda Charles

Tonight's murder-mystery movie is based on a true story. Ally Sheedy plays the titular character, who is devastated by her aunt's murder.
