Ellen DeGeneres blows into the Windy City, taking the Chicago Theatre by gale-force storm with a retro variety show that features a breezy mix of eclectic specialty acts, dancers and music entertainers, including rapper Kanye West, magician David Blaine and guest DJ Nick Cannon. An installment of the 2009 Just for Laughs comedy festival, the special is DeGeneres' third variety-show edition. — Dean Maurer

Fans also get some inside dirt: The guys tell how "La Grange" is about the real-life "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," talk about how the band and crew decided to take a homeless man's advice about their "Sharp Dressed Man" video shoot, and describe touring as Janis Joplin's opening act.
