Ellen DeGeneres blows into the Windy City, taking the Chicago Theatre by gale-force storm with a retro variety show that features a breezy mix of eclectic specialty acts, dancers and music entertainers, including rapper Kanye West, magician David Blaine and guest DJ Nick Cannon. An installment of the 2009 Just for Laughs comedy festival, the special is DeGeneres' third variety-show edition. — Dean Maurer

ZZ Top celebrates 40 years together with the same lineup in this intimate concert. Fans also get some inside dirt: The guys tell how "La Grange" is about the real-life "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," talk about how the band and crew decided to take a homeless man's advice about their "Sharp Dressed Man" video shoot, and describe touring as Janis Joplin's opening act. Dusty Hill even does his Walter Brennan imitation. All that, and they play hits like "Tush" and "Gimme All Your Lovin'," too. — Fred Mitchell

The winner of this dramatic dog-grooming competition is chosen after a final challenge involving rare and exotic breeds.
