Series creator Chris Lilley's bravura performance as not one but three characters made high school seem like more fun than it probably was. Tonight's first-season finale features his typical over-the-top spins on his chief drama queens, Mr. G and Ja'mie, as they hilariously hog the spotlight in, respectively, a pulsating musical and the Year 11 formal. But you may be surprised by the pathos elicited by the fate of bully Jonah, who strives to have the last word on a tumultuous semester. — Joe Friedric

Last month, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz became the proud parents of a baby boy. Before his arrival, they had to baby-proof their home like any expecting parents, and that included taming their beloved but aggressive English bulldog, Hemingway. So they called upon the canine counselor extraordinaire to help create a safe environment for their newborn. By the end of the hour, these musicians are singing Cesar's praises. — Karen Andzejewicz

The controversial topic of single-sex education is tackled in tonight's episode. In recent years, various public schools have been testing the benefits of separating boy and girls into different classrooms because some educators believe that males and females learn differently. This episode looks into that theory, and also examines the other side of the argument concerning whether separation does more harm than good in the long run. — Jennifer Sankowski

Million Dollar Password

Betty White is Password royalty. Her late husband, Allen Ludden, hosted the original incarnation of the popular word-association game from 1961-67 on CBS and also two later versions. White, obviously, is no stranger to the game, and she always enlivens the proceedings with her quick wit and polished game play. Let's hope the same can be said for tonight's other celebrity guest, Password virgin, Adam Carolla. — Tim Holland

The Sound of Music
7 pm/ET ABC
This beloved musical may be a bit on the sugary side, but that never stops us from tuning in to Robert Wise's 1965 extravaganza. Julie Andrews is utterly irresistible as Maria Von Trapp, and hearing her sing those glorious Rodgers and Hammerstein tunes is like listening to liquid crystal. The film won Oscars for Best Picture and for Best Director. Rated G. — Joe Friedrich
