Pro BMX rider TJ Lavin was in critical condition after a crash during the Dew Tour Championships, according to a Las Vegas hospital.

Lavin, who also hosts the Real World/Road Ruleschallenges on MTV, was thrown from his bike after failing to get his feet back on the pedals during a jump, ESPN.com reports. The 33-year-old biker was knocked unconscious and suffered a shattered wrist and broken ribs.

He was rushed to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas Thursday night. He remained in critical condition Friday. The hospital offered no other details.

Besides his hosting gig on MTV, Lavin composes music and has appeared on Cribs.
