Viola Davis won't be the only Oscar winner in How to Get Away with Murder anymore: Timothy Hutton has joined the ABC legal thriller for Season 5, Deadline reports. Details about his character and storyline are being kept under wraps.
Hutton still holds the record for youngest male actor to win an Academy Award with his Best Supporting Actor win for Ordinary People in 1980 when he was 20. Since then, he's had a long, interesting and busy career. He starred on the TNT series Leverage from 2008 to 2012, was nominated for an Emmy in 2015 for the limited series American Crime and will soon be seen in the upcoming Netflix horror series The Haunting of Hill House and the Amazon action series Jack Ryan.
Season 5 of How to Get Away with Murder will pick up with a new mystery after Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) Supreme Court case and several other storylines were wrapped up in Season 4. So it remains to be seen what Hutton adds to the mystery or what -- if any -- connection he'll have to the new major player, Gabriel Maddox (Rome Flynn).
How to Get Away with Murder Season 5 premieres Thursday, September 27 at 10/9c on ABC.
