This Is Us hasn't even started filming Season 3 yet, but Mandy Moore is already telling us what to expect for the next installment of the family drama.

We asked the actress what advice she'd give to fans trying to survive the summer hiatus without their weekly installment of feels, and after recommending that everyone go re-watch Seasons 1 and 2, she gave us some scoop to help ease the withdrawals.

"I just spent time in the writers' room with Dan [Fogelman, show creator] and all of our incredible writers. What they have in store for Season 3 and the next couple seasons is pretty remarkable," the actress told TV Guide. "We've shown people what this show can be and all of the different multitude of directions we can go in."

Those new multitudes and directions will mean standalone episodes for both Toby (Chris Sullivan) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), but according to Moore it also means learning more about the Pearson family itself.

"I would say buckle up. There is going to be some great stuff unfolding in Season 3. I am really, really excited for everyone -- for Beth, for Toby, like their own stories, learning more about everybody, getting a fuller picture of who jack and Rebecca were when they first started dating, who Jack was during the Vietnam War." she said. "It's going to be good. I feel like it's our most ambitious -- but it's going to be the best season yet."

We can't wait!

This Is Us returns Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c on NBC.
