Melanie Liburd will not be back as a series regular forThis Is UsSeason 4, TVLine reports.

Assuming the NBC drama returns for a fourth season, Liburd's Zoe will no longer be a regular role following the events of Tuesday's Season 3 finale, which saw Zoe and Kevin (Justin Hartley) break up once he realized that he does indeed want to have children.

Executive producer Isaac Aptaker told TVLine that while he doesn't want Liburd to be contractually obligated to the show anymore, since there might not be much for her to do in light of Kevin's new direction, fans could see the actress return in a guest spot.

"Whenever there are opportunities for Zoe to come back -- which [would be] pretty organic because she touches on Kevin's life as well as, of course, Beth and Randall's life -- we're eager to have her back," Aptaker said.

Speaking to TVGuide about the Season 3 finale, Aptaker revealed that fans can expect to see Kevin's new realization to become a major factor in his decisions going forward if the show is renewed for Season 4.

"We saw at the end of this season that Kevin is realizing that perhaps having a child of his own is more important than he'd ever realized, somewhere in the grand scheme of his life," he explained. "That is something he'll be moving towards. Whether it's finding a partner and having a kid or having a kid on his own remains to be seen."
