The X-Files Exclusive: David Duchovny Reveals the Secret to a Convincing Mulder Monologue

The X-Filesrevival kicked off with one of the longest, most complicated monologues from Mulder (David Duchovny) in the series' history. Now, in this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, Duchovny explains what went into his epic conspiracy rant in "My Struggle."

"In a way, that was good to do probably the hardest Mulder-like scene right off the bat first. Those facts and fingers need to be at your fingertips or else they don't sound right," Duchovny says in the video above. "In fact, you have to say them so fast that people don't know that you're actually not making any sense. That's one of the tricks."
