Move over America's Got Talent, you've officially been challenged.
CBS released the trailer Wednesday for its new talent competition series, The World's Best, and if that's not a pretty huge claim to make, then we don't know what is. Similar to America's Got Talent, The World's Best will see acts from all around the world perform in a variety of different categories (from acrobatics to singing to knife-swallowing), but the show's producers promise it will be different than any variety show you've seen so far.
In addition to being scored by three American judges, contestants will seek to win over a larger panel of 50 world experts who specialize in stunts, ballet, magic and more. As for the American judges, the star-studded panel includes RuPaul, Drew Barrymore and Faith Hill, and the ever so charming James Corden will host the series. According to executive producer Ben Winston, Corden's involvement is another secret ingredient which will set the show apart.
"We've got an unbelievable host in James Corden, who I think is as entertaining as any host can be on television," Winston told reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "And this show allows him to really spread his wings in primetime, which has been a really wonderful thing to watch and which I think people who've seen the show have really resonated to. And I haven't really seen that in this genre, or in the singing genre, where a host is so involved in a program in a really entertaining way."
The World's Best premieres Sunday, Feb. 3 at 8/7c on CBS.
